Workshop Overview

Take your photography skills beyond the basics and into the world of creative visual storytelling. This immersive intermediate workshop is designed for photographers who already understand camera fundamentals and want hands-on experience creating dynamic, artistic images using motion, lighting, timing, and imagination.

Participants will rotate through guided shooting stations featuring dramatic splash photography, ghost imagery effects, and creative long exposure light painting.

Workshop Goals

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

• Gain confidence shooting in full Manual Mode

• Learn advanced exposure control techniques

• Understand how shutter speed affects motion

• Use flash and continuous lighting creatively

• Practice freezing fast action

• Learn techniques for photographing smoke and atmospheric effects

• Capture suspended and floating objects

• Improve composition and timing for dynamic imagery

• Develop creative problem-solving skills in-camera

Recommended Skill Level

Intermediate photographers who:

• Understand aperture, shutter speed, and ISO

• Know basic camera operation

• Want to move beyond beginner photography

Recommended Equipment

Participants should bring:

• DSLR or Mirrorless Camera

• Fully charged batteries

• Empty memory cards

• Standard zoom lens or prime lens

• Tripod (recommended)

• External flash (optional but encouraged)
